Words are precious to me, like pearls that I offer to whomever wants them. They transmit my thoughts, my ideas and my dreams to the world.
So, I named my blog The Pear Tree Blog. My own name Pereira means Pear Tree and for me, trees are symbols of life.

Is Pereira a common family name in Portugal? Because some of my cousins are Portuguese and their family name is Pereira as well (same spelling).

Pereira means Pear Tree in portuguese. I’m not sure about its origins but I like the meaning of it, anyway.
