Eternal Goal

Love is the immortal flow of energy that nourishes, extends and preserves. Its eternal goal is life. (Smiley Blanton)

Opportunities

We are told that talent creates its own opportunities. Yet, it sometimes seems that intense desire creates not only its own opportunities, but its own talents as well. (Bruce Lee)

Four questions

There are four questions of value in life… What is sacred? Of what is the spirit made? What is worth living for, and what is worth dying for? The answer to each is the same: only love. (Johnny Depp)

Who are we? We find that we live on an insignificant planet of a humdrum star lost in a galaxy tucked away in some forgotten corner of a universe in which there are far more galaxies than people. (Carl Sagan)

Unawakened

Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened. (Anatole France)

Virtue

A dog is a virtue that when it couldn’t take the human form, it became an animal. (Victor Hugo)

The Sound of Peace

If there were to be a universal sound depicting peace, I’d surely vote for the purr. (Barbara L.Diamond)

They ask me…

They ask me if space travel will ever be possible. I say yes, and that it wouldn’t surprise me. Over a 100 years ago, nobody believed we could fly. Or break the speed of sound. Or put a man on the Moon. Of course Man will travel to other planets. It’s just a matter of time.

Will that be a great think for Mankind? Well, yes, of course it will be.

But imagine now that there were no countries. No borders, no intolerance, no wars. People respecting other people, other beliefs, other races, other cultures, all living together in peace, accepting that they are part of this world as we are all. Imagine that mankind had found a way to co-exist with itself, without prejudice or preconcepts. That would be indeed, a great surprise to me. It would be the greatest achievement of Mankind, a giant leap in the evolution of Humanity.

Who knows? Maybe wars (and animal abuse, and child abuse) will one day be part of a long lost past, only heard of in History classes.

It's much nicer to win by shaking a man's hand rather than slapping him in the face. (Luke Goss)

Only if Man wants to

These days, many species that have existed for thousands of years on our planet are at serious risk of extinction. The destruction of habitat by man pushes away to remote locations a fauna which includes the rarest species, some of them still subject to slaughter because of their valuable skins or tusks. Is there still hope? Each one of us, who like animals, must do what we can, to keep that hope alive. Photography allows us today to register gorgeous images of the animal world, but to repeat them tomorrow…  only if Man wants to.  (Carlos Alberto)

We are what we do, but we are mostly what we do to change what we are. (Eduardo Galeano)

Life is life

Life is life, whether in a cat, or dog or man. There is no difference there between a dog or a man. The idea of difference is a human conception for man’s own advantage. (Sri Aurobindo)

Our deepest fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who am I not to be? Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
